Harvested three gorgeous and very stout Duroc hogs for a customer in Howell today. Interesting to compare their lean character compared to the fatty Meishan breed that we harvested last week at our own homestead. Very little backfat made it very easy to spot a very thick strip loin upon skinning. Beautiful fall day, perfect temperatures, and assistance from Ryan helping to skin out these hogs. Ryan just returned from a 4 month adventure in Alaska acting as a hunting guide for top-paying customers chasing Dall sheep, grizzly and black bear. His skinning skills were exceptional and a big help!
